Lord The Wilderness Experience

Num 19:1-22:1
Isaiah 66:1-24

The Lord must be lifted up as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness. Today’s Torah includes a major prophecy regarding the Messiach, the son of God. Our Lord Yeshua, Jesus Christ was to be lifted up on the cross as a sacrifice so that the sting of death would be taken away from all men. This would only take place as men would look upon the Lord who is lifted up. This comes in the lives of Moses, Aaron and the children of Israel during their wilderness experience. The wilderness would become a place where this major prophecy would play out among Israel. In this experience Israel would be stung by serpents and die if they did not look upon the brazen serpent in the wilderness. Israel had strove against the Lord. Moses too had not believed the Lord before Israel. When he was to command water to pour forth from the rock, he instead struck it twice. For this, both Moses and Aaron would not enter into the Promised Land.

The Serpent lifted up in the Wilderness of the Lord

We see in these segments a people in a struggle with the Lord. Places of the wilderness where men get thirsty, hungry, tired, and face many enemies. This is the Lord moving his people into a place of trust. This would become a wilderness experience with the Lord where trust would be learned and a people would be formed into a nation who had faith in the Lord. Finally a nation would emerge from this experience that could indeed enter the Promised Land and conquer the enemy in the name of the Lord. In today’s segment we find the Rock, the brazen Serpent, and Marabah all stopping off points for Israel. These would be places where they continued to murmur before the Lord. These would be Places where they wanted to go back to Egypt. This would be the place of training for a people who saw their Lord deliver them. They were going to make it, even if the Lord had to drag them through it.

Num 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Num 21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Lords Anointed and Korahs Rebellion

Lords Anointed Moses, Aaron verses Korah

The Lords anointed stood before Israel. Moses and Aaron as the earth devoured Korah and his compatriots. This is a hard lesson for Israel, but she did not learn. Today’s Torah is about the Lords anointed and those who stood against them. In this we find the Lords anointed standing up against gossip, murmuring, evil report, and all manner of backbiting. Not to mention jealousies.

{loadposition content-adsense}

Rebellion of Korah and his associates against the Lords anointed

Moses stood as the Lords anointed and Aaron with him as well. They were chosen of the Lord and those who stood against them stood against the Lord. Thus the Lords anointed would be put to the test by those who were sent to deliver out of Egypt. Lords anointed with a duty before God, chosen and sent by him. Yet the people rejected the Lords anointed and gave into the tempter of their souls. They gave way to evil reports by jealousies, gossiping, not accepting leadership appointed by the Lord. They not only rebelled in this, led by Korah, but they also died for coming against the Lords anointed.

1Sa 12:14 If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God: 1Sa 12:15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.

Lords anointed many times stand against those who they are to help. How many churches today are divided by jealousies, backbiting, gossiping, and rebellion against the Lords divine anointed leadership? Here though, we must distinguish from mere hirelings and true anointed ones who are indeed the Lords anointed. How many denominations are their? How many congregations in these divisions? Yet we say it is okay? But yet do we really know and see the true divine Lords anointed in the churches today? Today’s Torah on the Lords anointed should teach us to stop the rebellion, gossip, backbiting, and other tongue and heart related sins. They are as bad and Korah’s rebellion.

With His Presence-WF-03-12-11-Welcome to Watchman n Friends

With His Presence-WF-03-12-11-Welcome to Watchman n Friends

The Day of the LORD
Wisdom of God versus foolishness of men!
that day: Yom has several meanings. The word represents the period of “daylight” as contrasted with nighttime:, here the nighttime of men, their dark deeds, which led them to cross over into the territory of darkness is suddenly revealed against the time of ‘daylight’, a period when the light of Gods justice shines into the darkness to reveal the sins and deeds. This is also known as, the Day of the LORD! We hear of the Day of the LORD ,but many do not consider the Day of the LORD as anything much. Many in fact downplay this Day of the LORD

“Where would you go without being dressed properly? Better yet if you were going camping would you go and not take anything to supply you while camping? And if a believer in Jesus [Yeshua], why would you not go with His Presence?

Did God ever intend those who believe in him to be without His Presence?
Ans: No, of course not; in fact he warned those not to go without His Presence or they would be defeated. [ex: 12 spies]

What does the phrase His Presence i.e. “Presence of God” mean to you?

We have many churches, denominations, but where is His Presence i.e. “Presence of God” to heal, deliver, and to save? Is it there? How much of the time?
We are to go, but we are to go “With His Presence and surely not on our own”

{mp3remote}http://www.warn-radio.com/wp-content/uploads/wf-031211-his-presence.mp3{/mp3remote}

It is easy to believe that we should go forward, sometimes without His Presence , the literal presence of the LORD. We think that because we are saved and believe in Jesus Christ that we in fact can go when we want and where we want. Now that is true if your going in your own name, as a Christian. We do that everyday, go here and there and many times don’t seek the Lord about it. We are living in those days with the believer better in the power of God and in His Presence. For all the end time events, changes, troubles that are coming, His Presence must be with us. In belief, in word, in obedience, in power, in us, before us, and as we go forth. His Presence must go with us.

But yet, the fact is, as disciples of the L-rd, scripture is clear, without Him we can do nothing. In fact, if he truly gives us a job, task, call, or something to do in His name, it must be with his power. This is only done in His Presence , with His Presence. Many Christians have gotten in trouble just over the this fact. You don’t go until you go with His Presence.
Therefore, today, we are to go, but we are to go “With His Presence and surely not on our own or even at the beckon of someone else.”

We go to the end of the book to introduce this teaching, I will go “With His Presence or [I won't go] ”!
Revelation 1:4  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
9  ¶I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Foreshadows-Building the Tabernacle-Torah-02-26-11

Torah-02-26-11 Foreshadows-Building the Tabernacle

Foreshadows of What was to come as Israel starts to build the Tabernacle. This would give them the picture and idea of what was to eventually come when G-d would have Solomon build the temple. The tabernacle a foreshadow of the temple to come. That temple of Solomon a foreshadow and picture of today when we would become the temple of G-d through the blood of the covenant. Today this whole process looks ahead, again to the time when we would become like our L-rd, having seen him as he is, we will become like him. It also points to the end when the Tabernacle would be set up, or temple in the millennium. It will be here that the ‘Son of David’, the ‘Son of Joseph’, the only begotten ‘Son of G-d’ will rule on the Throne of David. All of this leads to the very end, when death and hell are cast into the lake of fire and the temple of G-d is with men.

The fact that G-d put wisdom in those who came out of Egypt to build this stuff is amazing. The fact as well that they had the gold, silver, precious stones, and wood given to them by the Egyptians is also payment for their years of slavery for no wages. G-d never forgets, he is indeed able to bring back the years of loss and servitude you spent and turn them into blessings and restoration. Bringing those into his presence, redemption complete, as his sons and daughters. Taking them from slavery in Egypt, the type of the world, into his son ship and into redemption. This too, is a foreshadow of things to come.

If we just read the Torah and see it as people who made stuff, as people who had to follow commands and fail to see the supernatural G-d behind it all, then we miss the purpose of the Torah. It is this fact of G-ds love, his redemption, and his purpose which is reflected in Torah. Foreshadows of just who G-d is and what he is going to do. It is to this point, then we fail to see the Torah at all. It is beyond just commandments and historical record of Israel. It is to this end, G-ds love and redemption in order to bring us his mercy and his grace. Yes, in the Torah there is grace, mercy, and love. We also find faith and obedience, all the same qualities you and I must have as well. All from the same source, the L-rd G-d who loves us all and commands all men everywhere to repent. Still we see, Foreshadows of the redemptive purposes of G-d. Foreshadows of love not only for Israel but all men. This G-d who sent his only begotten Son, Yeshua, to fulfill the blood of the covenant by shedding his blood as the Passover lamb. Yes, today, it is through the son, Yeshua that you and I find the fulfillment in all these things. For no man comes to G-d, but by the son, this too is foreshadow and fulfillment of what G-d has done

The Torah:

Before they start to build, they are reminded to Keep Sabbath, a picture of the time of rest, with G-d, in the millenium.

Exodus 35:1  ¶And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the L-RD hath commanded, that ye should do them. 2  Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the L-RD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. 3  Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. 4  And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the L-RD commanded, saying, 5  Take ye from among you an offering unto the L-RD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the L-RD; gold, and silver, and brass,

G-d gives wisdom to complete the task he gives unto the children of men!

***The one whom G-d called by name, filling him with the spirit of g-d, in understanding, in knowledge, in all manner of workmanship. This one whom G-d called to build the tabernacle using this, was called by name. He was from the tribe of judah, the same tribe that the ‘Lion from the tribe of Judah’, i.e. our Messiach was from! This is Yeshua!

Exodus 35:30  ¶And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the L-RD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31  And he hath filled him with the spirit of G-d, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; 32  And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 33  And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. 34  And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35  Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

Torah-01-22-11-Living in the Commandments

Torah-01-22-11-Living in the Commandments

“The Fear of the L-rd, the people of G-d, and living for the L-rd in these days”

We find Moses and Israel at the “mount of G-d”. Here the L-rd begins to teach them the ‘fear of the L-rd, keeping his commandments, and preparing for a life of walking with him in favor’. We see the absolute fearsome terror of G-d in appearance where the “mount seems as on fire, smoke everywhere, and a voice as a Trumpet sounding.” The people are so afraid, they withdraw and ask Moses to talk to them on the issues G-d wants them to know. They do not want to come near to it again. Moses tells them that the L-rd appeared to bring this Fear, to let them understand the “fear of the L-rd.”

{loadposition content-amazon2}

We also find many things here where the believer today comes in. From the present blessing of being able to approach G-d’s throne in Jesus name to the many things we do today as believers, both that offend and things that bless. We discuss many issues here that Israel and Moses can teach us. In all this we see the mighty hand of G-d throughout all generations to bring man who is lost near to him. Through all this, the beginning of wisdom is the “fear of the L-rd.”

Proverbs 1:23  Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you

The Torah:

The Mount of G-d

Exodus 18:5  And Jethro, Moses’ father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of G-d:
Exodus 19:1  ¶In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
2  For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
3  And Moses went up unto G-d, and the L-RD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4  Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
5  Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Torah-01-08-11-Deliverance from Bondage

Torah-01-08-11-Deliverance from Bondage

The deliverance of Israel from bondage is this weeks reading. It has many types and foreshadows for us today. From the plagues of Moses day to the plagues coming upon all the earth in the tribulation. The nations of men who like Pharoah, who saw himself as G-d on earth. For many Egyptians he had the power of a G-d, but it took the L-rd G-d to reveal to the Egyptians and even to Pharoah’s servants who served this so called G-d what a real G-d was like. This they became aware of and understood in the context of being a G-d, there was no G-d like and never shall be as unto the L-rd G-d, Adonai. The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and now of the Hebrew people proved to all nations he was the only True G-d.

We find the types and purposes, foreshadow of the Passover Lamb here. We see our L-rd, Jesus [Yeshua] who was the Passover Lamb. The bondage of Egypt for the Hebrews and the bondage of men through sin, both coming together here in the purposes of G-d in what we call the ‘love of the truth’ [found in 2 Thess]. Where G-d purposed to deliver Israel, but also he purposed to bring this blessing through the Messiah to the nations. A promise to Abraham and also funneled through the blessing of Ephraim by Jacob. In ‘thee the nations will be blessed.’ This blessing is the redemption by the true Passover Lamb, Jesus [Yeshua Ha Massiach]. Praise G-d for ever!

Exodus 11:1  ¶And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

Watchman Torah, read by the Watchman Dana G Smith with the Holy Spirit, Ruach Chodesh giving insight as it is read. This follows the initial Torah reading for all believers who read and acknowledge Torah as a part of their life in Yeshua.

The Torah:

G-d over all Nations, You Shall Know I AM the L-rd!

Exodus 11:9  And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
10  And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land

ForeShadows-Unblemished Lamb, Apply the Blood!

Exodus 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8  And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9  Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10  And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11  And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Torah-01-01-11-Confrontation Moses and Pharaoh

Torah-01-01-11-Confrontation Moses and Pharaoh

“behold, we look through a glass darkly at the things to come, yet we see words of the past giving us picture of those things to come”

There was no such conflict as the one between Moses and Pharaoh. Of course, Pharaoh was the essence of the pagan god Ra, in whom, Pharaoh was the so called god in the flesh. All of Egypt looked to him, for he had power, wealth, and might. Yet, as Moses came to this powerful man, he did so in the name of Jehovah G-d, the True and living G-d. One whom would reveal to the Egyptians the real G-d, the one who would with might bring the Children of Israel out of bondage and keep the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; not to mention their offspring, the children of Israel, the Hebrews.

Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
