Summary: There is coming a war, a big one. In this war, not a person on earth will stop.
The stage is being set; the players are making their pre-war moves. While the USA languishes in high debt, poor security, war, and indolence, the world is preparing herself to go against the enemies she perceives needs to be destroyed.


Joel 3:9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

The Prophet Joel, whose name literally means ‘Yahweh is God’ prophesied to the land of Judah. Well known for his prophecy of the great devastation of locusts in a plague, this Prophet spoke of the “Day of the Lord” to the entire world. It is from the mouth of this Prophet, that many today have received critical and vital prophecies of the last days and end times in particular.

In the above verses, the concept of war is mentioned as Joel declares a proclamation which says “prepare war, wake up the might men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up”. Joel also puts the emphasis of ‘beating plowshares into swords and pruning hooks into spears, and the weak saying I am strong”. In all this, we find an anxious war mood. One where the gentiles, prepare for and assemble, gathering round about in the valley of Jehoshaphat for war. The language is vivid, symbolic, and carries with it a call that will happen again during the apocalypse of the last days.

The Valley of Jehoshaphat, meaning “the judgment of Jehovah”, is the site of the historic battle of Jehoshaphat who overthrew the enemies of Judah. This event foreshadows another battle, one which will occur in this valley, where Israel’s enemies will come against them. This is a general symbolic reference to the time in the future, where Gods final judgments will occur on the foes of Israel. The fact that we find this reference, as well as many others to battles, wars, apocalypse, and great unrest in the world, give rise to the prophecy watchers of the current day.

The prophetic language, symbolic as it is, has many looking in the world to the rise of wars, rumors of wars, and related events. Christ said that there would be “wars and rumors of war” in the gospels. As we look at the world scene, you cannot help but think of these verses as we see the world become gripped in terrorism, cold war revitalized, and Middle East unrest. It is as if the whole of humanity has gone nuts. We can see Joel’s words, let the weak say they are strong, let those who are seen as timid in today’s society rise up and take sword and battle for the cause. In recent weeks we have seen this as school children in the P.A. are talking of taking the sword to war. In a recent video, the Palestinian Media watch reveals the school age conversation about war or the end time war with Jews.

take place until you fight the Jews, they will be east of the river and you to the west, and the rock and the tree will say: Oh, Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and fight him!

We also see that the mighty men are taking to the stage as Syria is threatening Israel. A recent official in Syria related to the news world that they would be prepared to go to war if the demand to turn over the Golan is not done soon by Israel. While America is bogged down in debt, war, and strife within, the world is heading towards the ‘valley of decision’. The noise is overpowering as everyone seems to ramping up the volume today. In the USA we are listening as the war rhetoric by Israel, Syria, Hamas, Al-Qaeda, Iran, and others, beat the drums for justice. War, violence, and bloodshed seem to be just on the horizon and officials at all levels seem powerless to stop it.

“Syria passed repeated messages to the U.S. that we demand the return of the Golan either through negotiations or through war. If the Golan is not in our hands by August or September, we will be poised to launch resistance, including raids and attacks against Jewish positions (in the Golan Heights),” the Baath official said. 2

Add to this are the intentions of the USA to put up its missile defense system in both Poland and the Czech Republic in spite of Russia’s objections. One of the top officials in Russia came out with another statement warning the USA.

“If our proposal is accepted, then the need will disappear for us to place … new weapons, including missiles, in the European part of the country, including Kaliningrad, to counter those threats that … will appear if the decision is taken to place the missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic,” Mr Ivanov said. 3

The USA is in the field alone. When the nations are tired of our interfering in the regions of the world, the cord will break. The thin scarlet cord of peaceful negotiations will be a thing of the past. Today many are strengthening their own forces for a showdown with the USA and Israel. We know, according to sources that Russia, Iran, Syria, and China all have blood packs. We also are knowledgeable of the large Chinese presence in the south as they hold the Panama Canal. With the push for a North American Union, poor border security, and the new Super Highway that will cut our nation in half, we are not getting stronger but weaker. It is only a matter of time before the Russians and Chinese will push towards cutting off the head and neck of the USA beast as they perceive it. They have been waiting for years, biding their time, getting stronger, making ties, and watching the USA get weaker. The time is close, but it is not here yet.

The stage is getting set, the call is going forth to all the nations, just as the Prophet Joel said “Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.”. No politician can stop what is coming. The average American is in the dark as to what is really going on, and the church is lulled to sleep in her monotony of money, materialism, greed, and lust. What is coming, Joel calls the “Day of the LORD”. It is coming, the nations are gathering, and we are not prepared.
