Law, Faith, and Dynamics of the Takeover in our Nation

How strong is a nation? At what point can its citizens completely trust its government? Today we see violence in the streets in Myanmar that illustrate a peoples attempt to bring justice to its nation. It is a point where military strong men rule the nation. At some point in the past, its citizens were disarmed and overpowered. Thus a nation, even with the best of interests, cannot survive wicked and tyrannical men in power.

When our forefathers came to this shore, they knew tyrants and diabolical government excesses. It was in Europe where Kings of Old ruled bringing men face to face with evil. In corridors of power, the reigns of Kings wielded unbending will. Our forefathers came to this country, in part to get away from despair, heartache, and oppression. This was the strength of the new America, this new pioneer, who longed for true God given freedoms in a nation that would harbor them. For him, along with his family, a new life was begun. But this was a different new life. They came and were willingly absorbed into this new nation. President Theodore Roosevelt described it best when he said:


“We have room for but one flag, the American Flag. We have room for but one language, the English language, and we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

Children of the Crucible

On September 10, 1917, the New York Times ran an article titled “Roosevelt Demands Race Fusion Here”. The article was the story of the then Colonel Roosevelt who had issued a statement in support of the governments prosecution of the war, speaking from his home in Oyster Bay New York. It was here that he had a long time residence, summer home, and the summer White House. Calling Americans “the Children of the Crucible”, Roosevelt spoke in poetic terms of what made Americans who they were. The crucible was the melting pot of immigrants who had come from all over Europe at the time to settle in America. These children were the descendants of those first settlers to the colonies, It was given to them the task of “the retention of the America” their forefathers founded. His message in part is a reminder to all of us:

“From the melting pot of life in this free land all men and woman of all nations who come hither emerge as Americans and nothing else. They must have renounced completely and without reserve all allegiance to the land from which they or their forefathers came. And it is a binding duty on every citizen of this country in every important crisis to act solidly with all his fellow Americans, having regard only to the honor and interest of America, treating every other nation purely on its conduct in that crisis, without reference to his ancestral predilections or antipathies. If he does not act, he is false to the teachings and lives of Washington and Lincoln; he is not entitled to any part or lot in our country and he should be sent out of it.” - - (Theodore Roosevelt, “The Children of the Crucible” New York, Sept. 9, 1917)

We too, are the ‘children of the Crucible’, a special place where men and women who came to this land, freely gave up foreign languages, customs, and outside wills to join with others in the common cause of the Revolutionary fervor and constitutional republic that we now call America. The question one has to ask today is what would those same people say of the nation we now have become?

Would they of cast out all reference to God out of the Pledge of Allegiance? Would they of taken all prayer out of schools? Would they of allowed massive immigration that was both illegal and destructive? Would they allow the bent political will of those in government to supersede the will of the people? Today, even comedians have to ask the question as did Jay Leno:

“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?” - Jay Leno

An illustration of this is the vote by 33 senators of our US government on June 6, 2007, where they voted against English as America’s official language name as ‘Immigration Bill 1348’. Of those voting against this bill, according to Colonel Harry Riley USA Ret, were four up and coming future presidential candidates, who were Biden, Clinton, Dodd, and Obama. Colonel Riley put forth a letter to the senators about his objection to the vote. It was a vote that falls in line with the way Washington does things today. Simply put, ignore what the public says and move ahead with personal agendas. Riley said further:

“Those 4 Senators vying to lead America but won’t or don’t have the courage to cast a vote in favor of English as America’s official language when 91% of American citizens want English officially designated as our language.” [Wed, 6 Jun 2007 23:35:23 -0500, "Colonel Harry Riley USA]

National Security Presidential Directive #51-creating a dictator

In recent years we have seen a myriad of laws come forth out of Washington. All, say those who pass such things are done to protect us. The question is who will protect us from our own government? The NSPD-51 (National Security Presidential Directive #51) is a directive, in which the President of the United States controls all activities, laws, and ensures the stability of the government. In point, he becomes a dictator, with the final say in all things. The directive says in regards to this:

The President shall lead the activities of the federal Government for ensuring constitutional government. The powers of the President in this position of directing all activities during a crisis will begin “PMEF” or Primary Mission Essential Functions, which are functions needed in order to support or implement all aspects of this directive, which is the continuity of constitutional government. The President for the time of this directive is the proverbial dictator, or person in charge. This position will begin during any emergency period up to 30 days or until normal operations can be resumed, and the capability to be fully operational at alternate sites. [11 (a), NSPD-51]

Military Commissions Act of 2006-doing away with your rights

This directive is made in the course of protecting society. But what expense are we going to be protected? Can we trust those in charge, once the military machine takes over, to give back power? In the course of this treatise let us consider one more act. President Bush signed and the Congress passed the Military Commissions Act of 2006. This law in fact does away with Habeas Corpus, which means in Latin, literally to mean “show me the body”. This translated means you as a US citizen have the right to a trial before a court before being convicted of a crime of any nature and placed in prison.

To understand how powerful habeas corpus is:

This act according to Alexander Hamilton ensures to the greatest degree your liberty and the republic avenues of our nation, more than any other.
The establishment of the writ of habeas corpus, the prohibition of ex post facto laws…are perhaps greater securities to liberty and republicanism than any [the Constitution] contains.” - Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper No. 84

Authorization for Use of Military Force Joint Resolution-doing away with Posse Comitatus Act

To add more insult to injury, the Posse Comitatus act was amended to the US constitution on June 16, 1878. This law was put in place by our forefathers to prohibit Federal military personnel and other military, contracted or other wises from engaging in enforcing the law in the US or against any citizen of the US. The new laws made addendum by those in power, have effectively done away with all rights, privileges, and protections you were afforded by a right and free people, so named in the constitution of the United States.

In September of 2001, the AUMF [Authorization for Use of Military Force Joint Resolution (Public Law 107-40, 115 Stat. 224) and sections 821 and 836 of title 10, United States Code] was passed. That is the Authorization for Use of Military Force for Detention, Treatment, and Trial of Certain Non-Citizens in the War against Terrorism.

Although the language is intended to mean ‘non-citizens’ in the war against terrorism, the subject has come up in regards to the recent Katrina trouble. It was there that martial law ensued, citizens were disarmed, even ones in their homes trying to protect themselves, and not one word was made of it all. Now while we cannot have armed thugs creating more chaos during these times emergence. But, we certainly cannot allow military to disarm citizens in their own homes, preventing them from protecting themselves and their families. Some ambivalent language creates trouble. For instance: an individual subject to this order, is one who is ‘not a US citizen’, but it also says “with respect to whom I determine from time to time in writing that”[definition and policy, sec 2, a]. What exactly does that mean? In the end of the AUMF order, the following is put:

Nothing in this order shall be construed to limit the authority of any such governmental authority to prosecute any individual for whom control is transferred. [AUMF doc]

Northcom-setting the agenda and enforcement agency

The government, specifically the Pentagon already has put together the piece to institute martial law in the US. Founded in 2002, Northcom was constructed to be able to take command over every National Guard unit in our nation. As of today, General Gene Renuart, USAF is the commander of US Northcom. During times of national emergency, Northcom is called upon. It is then, should circumstances deem necessary to enforce all Presidential directives, including the Patriot act. All of whom would make Northcom the enforcement agency of law and order in the USA.

To add to this, a note on the website of northcom.mil, is a link titled “Avian flu”. I have been researching, writing, and warning about this. The Northcom statement says:

“There are concerns that the avian flu could mutate, and become infectious to humans.”
“Although this may seem alarming, there are measures you can take to prevent contracting and spreading all strains of influenza, including the avian flu. It is critical that all of us remain healthy.”

Topoff exercises have been held and in the news recently. Along with that other such exercises have been going on. USANORTH, is putting forth Vigilant Shield 2008, in which the US Army, members, and civilians are participating in a week long national level exercise. Add to this, local exercises in our area are being held on Bird flu, and other mass casualty events. All preparing for that day, when all the items discussed in this article will be put into place.

Again the question needs to be asked. Can we trust the government? Will they restore the rights and privileges afforded in the constitution when this is over? There are many who see these as just being ready for what is coming. While that is part of it, there is a growing mountain of evidence that those in Washington want more than our Forefathers did. They want to erase generations of American ideals, attitudes, and values, replacing them with a new age, order, and world, where we will not recognize the nation we now live in. I have said it before, I say it again: “this is not your grandmothers America anymore”.

History and nations are examples of good men gone bad, of nation’s powerful and becoming weak, and of oppressive governments. What will history say of us? Will we see the road signs on the path to the new order that these men and women want to create? They will create it no matter what it takes, or who gets in the way.
