Abraham’s Seed, Heirs according to the promise, if ye be Christ’s!

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 6:16
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

The Early Apostles fought false teachers and their teachings. Colossia met with aggressive teachings that tore away at the fabric of Christ and his Supremacy. It is such, that the Apostle Paul, therefore met this with the truth of the ‘Supremacy of Christ’ in all things! For it was in Christ who is Supreme Lord, God the Fathers unique and only begotten Son who died on the cross for the sins of men. It this Christ who is supreme Lord and creator over all and in all.

Colossians stands as a paramount Epistle in the true Christology and teaching against the movements of man and attempts to defraud the Lord whom we serve of the vestiges of Honor and Glory, Power and Might, Wisdom and Salvation!

The Delusion:

The Devil Deludes Christians by convincing them they are helpless, hopeless, which lays the foundation for defeat of those who claim to be followers of the Most High God, and his only begotten Son, the Hope of Glory, Jesus Christ.

You are not helpless,
You are not hopeless,
Many choose to be such!
Victims of the devil!
Victims of a habit!
Powerless to overcome!

But this is not scriptural, biblical, nor what is intended!

There is a Power!
There is a Strength!
There is an Overcomer!
There is an Winner!
Inside each of You!
There is the ‘Hope of Glory’ inside you!

Thus, it is indeed, Christ in you, the Hope of Glory! It is POWER!

Romans 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Ephesians 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory

But you must:
1. Set the Order of Deliverance!
2. It functions by Faith and power!
3. It was given to you when you received Christ as your Savior!
4. It never went anywhere, you never used it!

Setting the Order:

1. Soul and Spirit!
Set the Order of Soul and Spirit, Christ in you!

2. Mind
Set your mind on Christ

3. Body
Bring your body into subjection, by the power of Christ

To do this, you must first Have Christ
To do this you must use Faith, the Operation of Faith to Salvation!
Simply put, You must Believe!
Putting the Word of God with Faith!
Then Acting on it!

Setting the Order: Soul and Spirit, Salvation!

The Law of Faith for Salvation!
The law of faith, brings salvation to us!
The Law of faith: a man is justified by faith in Jesus Christ, that through Christ remission of sins that are past, that God through his forebearance, i.e. he is just and would justify him that believes in Jesus, fulfilling the law, through the law of faith!

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Romans 3:26
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 3:27
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 3:29
Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Romans 3:30
Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Romans 3:31
 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Faith of the operation of God:
The faith of the operation of God, works the process of Saving grace in us, with power to overcome, and being complete in Christ!

This operates, in Him, Christ Jesus, in which, dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

It is this operation, the faith of the operation of God, that brings us into Christ, ‘complete’, being raised with him, through this ‘faith of the operation of God’, we have been buried with him in baptism, being baptized into Christ, putting off the flesh.

We who were dead in sins and trespasses, now are alive unto God with Christ!

All that was against us is nailed to the cross

In doing so, ‘all principalities and powers’ are made weak, being subject to him!

If we are complete in him, who is the head of all ‘principality and power’, then we must accept the truth of the ‘faith of the operation of God’

Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Colossians 2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Colossians 2:11
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Colossians 2:13
¶And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Colossians 2:15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Therefore, it is on this first and basic foundation that you as a believer must understand, be in Him, and firmly knowing the process and deliverance that is yours. For you are in Christ! If you are truly saved, having believed, then Christ is in you!

If Christ is in you, then you are His, He is yours! There is power, victory, and the ability to overcome the deeds of the flesh and the desires of the mind! But in all this, it is by faith. The process to give you deliverance, is the ‘faith of the operation of God’.

The Word preached must be mixed with Faith!

Hebrews 4:2  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

You have the word of faith in your mouth and in your heart

Romans 10:8  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12  ¶For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God:
The ability to truly hear, comes also from the Word of God. For it is God who draws you nigh and opens your hearing so that you can hear what the Spirit sayeth!

Romans 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:20  But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

Setting the Order: The Mind, bringing it into Captivity!

Colossians 3:1  ¶If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
2  Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth.
3  For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

It is this same ‘Faith of the operation of God’ that continues to work in you! God has given us his Word, but also his Spirit, and his Son who delivered us. We have this power, this treasure in our earthen vessels, so we can overcome, speak to the oppressor, speak to the body, speak to the mind, and call it in order to the will of God and his word!

Our weapons are not carnal. Living in the present world of technology, science, and deluded men who think themselves teachers of God, it can be easy for others to be mislead!

The number one rule, to never forget here:
“We do walk in the flesh as humans as we live now, but we do not war after our flesh”

The number two rule, to never forget here:
“Our weapons are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds”

The number Three rule, to never forget here:

“The main stronghold of Christians is our mind, which holds and can hold imaginations and also keep every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God”

“Therefore, we are to cast down these imaginations and all things that exalts itself against our God, His Christ, and His Word, being obedient and receptive to the Spirit of God”

2 Corinthians 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Love the Lord thy God with all thy mind!
Matthew 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mind stayed on thee, because he trusts in thee!
Isaiah 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 26:4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength

Don’t be of doubtful mind!
Luke 12:28  If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Receive the word with all readiness of mind!
Acts 17:11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Serve the Lord with all humility of mind!
Acts 20:19  Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews

Do not fulfil the desires of the flesh and of the mind!
Ephesians 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Do not walk in the vanity of your mind as other Gentiles, but renew your mind in Christ!
Ephesians 4:17  ¶This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Ephesians 4:23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

They that are after the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit:
Romans 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Minding the Spirit, your mortal bodies are quickened by the Spirit, to live after the Spirit and not the flesh!
Romans 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10  ¶And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Those disobedient who choose not to retain God in their knowledge are given over to reprobate [without moral principles, do those things that are against God and deserve punishment] mind!
Romans 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Philippians 3:19  Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Colossians 1:21  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

Setting the Order: The Body, bringing it into Subjection unto Christ

Mixing the Word of God, preached or read with Faith and bringing the body into the subjection unto Christ!

The Apostle Paul gives an outstanding description of ‘Christ in you, the Hope of Glory’ in the First chapter of Colossians.

Let’s review it:
Christ Jesus: His work in us!
-We walk worthy of the Lord
-Being fruitful in work
-Increasing in knowledge of God
-Strengthened all might, according to his power
-Thanks to the Father, who made us partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light
-Delivered us from power of Darkness
-Translated us into kingdom of His dear Son
-Redemption through his Blood
-Forgiveness of Sins

Colossians 1:10
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:11
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Colossians 1:12
¶Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Colossians 1:14
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Christ Jesus: Image of Invisible God!

-image of the invisible God, firstborn of every creature
-by him were all things created
-they were created for him
-he is before all and by him all consist
-he is head of the body, the church, he has the preeminence in all
-It please the Father that in him all the fulness should dwell

Colossians 1:15
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Colossians 1:16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians 1:17
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Colossians 1:19
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Christ Jesus: Reconciling the World unto God

-Made peace through the blood of his cross
-Reconciliation
-Those who were enemies and alienated are now brought nigh to God through Christ
-Christ presents you holy and blameless, unreproveable, by the body of his flesh through death

Colossians 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Colossians 1:21
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Colossians 1:22
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Christ Jesus: The Warning!

-If you continue in the Faith
-Grounded
-Settled
-Not moved away from the hope of the gospel

Colossians 1:23
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

It is here now, that we must understand, our goal and final push in this life of faith is to ‘continue in the faith’.

To do that, we must be Grounded!
To be Grounded, we must be Settled!
To be Settled, we must not be moved away from the hope of the Gospel!

These are all actions that we must take.
Continue, means not stop, to push onward, in our case by faith!

Faith in the Lord Jesus and his work, which gave us power to run the race and finish in victory!

Grounded, we have an underbelly of teaching, a solid foundation, a rock, who is Christ, upon which we stand firmly, in all the high seas of this world.

Settled, not moved or swayed, but settled in what we believe in, and have settled our minds, body, and soul and spirit to the fact that Christ Jesus is Lord, he has reconciled us to the Father, and we are the ‘saints in light’, the ‘redeemed’, and as such, are walking in a manner pleasing to the Lord!

This is where the Apostle brings forth more active and powerful words:

Mortify: ‘put to death’, that you are now Christ, and he is in you, it is his power in you that will ‘put to death’ these things. It is when the believer, is ‘carnal minded’ and minds the things of earth, that the power to overcome is brought low. It is because of where our heart and mind is, farther from God.

God’s wrath comes upon all ‘children of disobedience’

that is those upon the earth who persist in the carnal and earthly way. Here we find some examples:

fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

As former ‘children of wrath’, before we came to the Lord God, our Father, through Jesus Christ, we lived in these things, but now, we do not!

We have put off the ‘old man with his deeds’: That includes the deeds of the flesh, all of them! If we are to walk in the Spirit, then these deeds are not to be found in us!

anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth, lying. .

Colossians 3:5
¶Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Colossians 3:6
For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Colossians 3:7
In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

Colossians 3:8
¶But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:9
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Again, it is the ‘new man’, which has been renewed in the Knowledge of Christ, who is the ‘hope of Glory’, in us, that enables us to overcome!

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Colossians 3:11
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Called to Separation

in the Spirit of God, walking in the holiness of Christ Jesus according to the fear of God!

Ephesians 5:4  Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12  For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

This treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us!

1 Corinthians 3:16  ¶Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2 Corinthians 4:6  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

What agreement has Christ with Belial? What agreement has the temple of God, which you are, with idols?

Come out from among them and be separate!

2 Corinthians 6:15  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 7:1  ¶Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Example of Israel and the Nations

If God would deliver Israel from their enemies and enable them to possess the promise given to their forefathers, will not the Lord God, enable us to possess the promises given?

Deuteronomy 7:17  If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
18  Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
19  The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
20  Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
21  Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
22  And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
23  But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
24  And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
25  The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
26  Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
